Teal is a dark, smoky blue-green woven with cream, so the front is covered in tiny raised knots of pale yarn against the deep colour. The weave is chunky and slightly irregular, more like a hand-knitted blanket than a furnishing fabric, and from a distance the two colours blend into a textured slate teal. A dark piping outlines the edge.
It brings texture to a velvet-heavy sofa and sits well with navy, ochre and rust. I'd use it in front of two plain squares, where the knobbly surface has something smooth to play against.
