Verdure is the brightest of the three. A big curved shape in chartreuse and olive runs across a pale grey and chalk ground, with smaller pieces of slate, plum and dusty pink, and one unexpected streak of cobalt blue at the top. The print is soft edged, almost like watercolour, and the linen weave shows through it, so the colour looks matt and slightly chalky rather than flat. A black piping finishes the edge.
I'd use it where a room has a lot of grey or white and needs one lively cushion. It picks up olive, moss and sage, and the little flashes of plum and blue give you an excuse for a second, darker cushion beside it.
