Wakame is khaki and sage with cream running through it. The front is broken into angular panels, each filled with close rows of corded embroidery running in a different direction, so the blocks catch the light differently and the pattern reads partly through colour and partly through texture. The yarn changes shade as it goes, which gives the green a slightly heathered look. A flat flanged border frames the edge.
It's an easy green to use, nearer olive than grass. I'd pair it with rust, ochre or chocolate, or put it on a stone linen sofa with a plain moss velvet.
