Oca Cushion – Terracotta
Terracotta is a warm rusty brick, and against the ivory ground the quarter circles look almost like a patterned tile. The velvet pile gives the colour depth, redder in shadow and more orange where it's lit.
This is the one to put with ochre, olive or a chocolate brown velvet. On a pale sofa it also works as the single warm note in a group of neutrals.
Oca is Maison Casamance's own cushion design, named after a small plant that grows wild in the Andes. The front is a velvet jacquard with a black and white striped braid round the edge, the reverse is a vintage effect velvet, and it closes with an invisible zip. Maison Casamance are discontinuing Oca, so stocks are low. Once it's gone, it's gone.
