Sand is cream and pale gold, worked in raised cords that swirl across the whole front like the grain in a slice of agate or burr walnut. Some bands are packed tight and read almost solid, others are looser and let the ivory ground show, so the pattern has depth even though the colour barely changes. It's a cushion you notice by texture first.
Because the colour is so quiet, it works as a textured neutral. I'd put it with bouclé, linen and pale oak, or use it to soften a run of plain ivory or stone cushions.
