Celadon is a grey green that changes with the light. In the studio photo it reads almost pewter, but in daylight it comes out as a pale, chalky sage. The ribs pick up a silvery sheen, which keeps it cool rather than minty.
It's a good cool contrast to warm colours. Against a rust or terracotta sofa it looks fresh without jumping out, and it sits easily with Lin and natural linen.
Opulence is Maison Casamance's ribbed velvet cushion, made in the Netherlands. It's woven with a shrinkable weft yarn that gives the cloth its structure, so it looks like corduroy velvet. Each cover has a braided edge, a natural plain linen reverse and an invisible zip. Maison Casamance are discontinuing Opulence, so stocks are low. Once it's gone, it's gone.
