Emeraude is a deep bottle green, cool and fairly dark. The ribbing gives it depth, darker in the grooves and a brighter green on the ridges where the pile catches the light.
I like it with Bleu Nuit and a rust or terracotta cushion, or on its own against a stone or oatmeal sofa where the green has room to show.
Opulence is Maison Casamance's ribbed velvet cushion, made in the Netherlands. It's woven with a shrinkable weft yarn that gives the cloth its structure, so it looks like corduroy velvet. Each cover has a braided edge, a natural plain linen reverse and an invisible zip. Maison Casamance are discontinuing Opulence, so stocks are low. Once it's gone, it's gone.
Available in 45 × 45 cm and 40 × 60 cm, as a cover only or with a feather pad (50% duck feather, 50% polyester).
