Mercury is the quiet one of the three: a patchwork of silver, pewter, charcoal and near-black blocks, with nothing warmer than a putty grey. The velvet takes the print with a soft sheen, and some blocks are woven flat in a grainy jacquard instead, so the surface goes from smooth to textured as your hand moves across it. A black piping outlines the edge.
It's an easy way to bring pattern into a grey or black and white scheme without adding colour. I'd put it in front of plain charcoal or ivory velvet, or on a leather sofa where it softens all that smoothness.
