Xenia is spray-dyed by hand, and you can see it. On a cream chenille ground, Orion lays down long, soft-edged bars of inky slate blue that bleed at the edges like watercolour on wet paper. Up close the chenille gives the blue a flecked, slightly denim look, and the self-piped edge picks up the dye unevenly.
At 65 × 65 it's a big cushion, best at the back of a deep sofa or on a bed where it has room. It will carry an arrangement on its own, so I'd keep the cushions around it plain: cream, stone, or a navy velvet to pick out the darkest marks.
