Capucin is Misia Paris's printed cotton velvet, a troop of acrobatic monkeys swinging across the velvet. In Prune de Vars the ground is a deep aubergine, so the pattern reads as texture from across a room and only gives up the joke when you are close to it.
Available as a 30 x 40cm rectangle and a 40 x 60cm rectangle, handmade in my Devon workroom with tapered corners, overlocked edges and an invisible zip along the bottom edge.
Cut from a limited length of fabric, so very few are made.
Aubergine is easier to place than people expect. It sits well with olive, ochre and faded pink, and it is very good in a room with a lot of wood in it.
Composition: 88% cotton, 12% polyester.
Care: dry clean recommended. Due to the handcrafted nature of the fabric, slight irregularities and shade variations are characteristic and not considered faults. Exact colour matching to previous orders cannot be guaranteed.
