Circles and Squares by Florence Broadhurst, hand printed by Signature Prints from the original screens. A repeating grid of squares inside squares with a circle at the centre of each, printed here in teal on a biscuit hopsack.
The teal is deeper and greener than the blue colourway and it changes the whole character of the design, quieter and a little more sober. Because every length is hand printed the colour has the slight unevenness of a pulled screen, and the hopsack ground shows through it.
Piped in a neutral, which takes the hard edge off a strong geometric.
30 x 40cm rectangle, handmade in my Devon workroom with tapered corners, overlocked edges and an invisible zip along the bottom edge.
This one has sold. It was cut from a short length of fabric and I cannot make another, but there is more in the CB Collection.
A small geometric in a deep colour is the cushion to put in front of a larger plain one, where it gives the arrangement a focal point without taking over.
Care: dry clean recommended. Due to the handcrafted nature of the fabric, slight irregularities and shade variations are characteristic and not considered faults. Exact colour matching to previous orders cannot be guaranteed.
