Hendricks in lagoon by Zinc. A chunky decorative weave built from irregular horizontal stripes in teal, chartreuse, cream and deep green, the yarns loose and knotted enough that the stripes wobble rather than run straight. It has an almost knitted, handmade quality and real depth in the surface.
Backed in a plain white canvas, which lifts the whole thing and stops the texture from looking heavy.
50 x 50cm square. Corners are tapered, fabric edges are overlocked and there is an invisible zip along the bottom edge. Handmade in my Devon workroom, available with or without a feather pad.
Composition: 57% PC, 25% VI, 18% PL.
Only a small number of covers were cut from this length of fabric, so once they have gone they will not be repeated.
Texture does something colour cannot, which is to give a plain sofa somewhere for the eye to rest. This one works against cream and natural linen, and it picks up the greens and teals elsewhere in the collection.
Care: dry clean recommended. Due to the handcrafted nature of the fabric, slight irregularities and shade variations are characteristic and not considered faults. Exact colour matching to previous orders cannot be guaranteed.
