Houston in fuchsia by Casamance. A plain, but a lively one. A slubby mixed weave in a strong pink, shot through with lighter and darker threads so the colour breaks up across the surface rather than sitting flat, and the viscose in the mix gives it a faint sheen, which is why the pink looks lit from within rather than painted on.
Self piped in the same fabric, so nothing distracts from the colour.
50 x 50cm square. Corners are tapered, fabric edges are overlocked and there is an invisible zip along the bottom edge. Handmade in my Devon workroom, available with or without a duck feather pad.
Composition: 45% cotton, 25% viscose, 10% linen, 10% polyamide, 10% other fibres.
Only a small number of covers were cut from this length of fabric, so once they have gone they will not be repeated.
A strong pink is one of the most useful things you can own if the rest of the room is quiet. It sits well against grey, camel and dark green, and one is usually enough.
