Squirrel and Sunflower began as a linocut by the printmaker Mark Hearld, printed onto linen union so it keeps the flat blocks of colour and the cut edges of the original block. In aubergine it is warmer and less literal than most wildlife prints, and the plain plum reverse means it works either way round.
30 x 40cm, handmade in my Devon workroom with tapered corners, overlocked edges and an invisible zip along the bottom edge.
There is one of this cushion. When it has gone I cannot make another.
This is a cushion for a chair rather than for a sofa already full of pattern. It suits a study, a hall seat, or a bedroom with plain bedding.
Composition: linen union.
Care: dry clean recommended. Due to the handcrafted nature of the fabric, slight irregularities and shade variations are characteristic and not considered faults. Exact colour matching to previous orders cannot be guaranteed.
