Pelops comes from the Villa Kerylos collection by Nobilis, a fabric built around ancient weaving, with print and embroidery worked on natural silk against jacquard and soft patina. The grey is shadowed rather than flat and it shifts as the light moves across it.
The front is the Pelops silk. The back is Chase Erwin Laine wool in slate, which gives the cushion weight and stops a fine silk front looking insubstantial. 30 x 60cm, handmade in my Devon workroom with tapered corners, overlocked edges and an invisible zip along the bottom edge.
Front 100% silk. Back 100% wool.
Cut from a short length of fabric, so there are very few of these and I may not be able to repeat it.
Silk and wool together suit a room with some age to it. Good against dark timber, old leather or a heavy linen sofa.
Care: dry clean recommended. Due to the handcrafted nature of the fabric, slight irregularities and shade variations are characteristic and not considered faults. Exact colour matching to previous orders cannot be guaranteed.
