Parhelie. A woven geometric of concentric diamonds, one sitting inside another, in soft gold and wheat on a cream ground. The pattern is built into the weave rather than printed onto it, so the diamonds stand slightly proud of the surface and the fabric reads as texture from across a room and as pattern up close.
Self piped in the same fabric, which keeps the edge quiet.
50 x 50cm square. Corners are tapered, fabric edges are overlocked and there is an invisible zip along the bottom edge. Handmade in my Devon workroom, available with or without a duck feather pad.
Only a small number of covers were cut from this length of fabric, so once they have gone they will not be repeated.
A patterned neutral is the hardest working cushion in any scheme. This one gives you something to look at without bringing in a colour, which makes it the obvious partner for the brighter pieces in the collection.
