Wildflowers printed on cotton velvet by Barbara Osorio, a British house that works in natural fibres and unusually confident colour. The flowers are drawn loosely in blues and greens on a pale ground, so it reads as a meadow rather than as a formal floral. Piped and backed in plain grey velvet.
Available as a 30 x 40cm and a 29 x 60cm rectangle, handmade in my Devon workroom with tapered corners, overlocked edges and an invisible zip along the bottom edge.
Cut from a limited length of fabric, so very few are made.
Velvet holds a printed flower better than a flat cotton does, because the pile gives the colour somewhere to go. Put it against plain linen and let the print do the talking.
Cushion pad: 100% duck feather.
Care: dry clean recommended. Due to the handcrafted nature of the fabric, slight irregularities and shade variations are characteristic and not considered faults. Exact colour matching to previous orders cannot be guaranteed.
