Pearl is the palest Swing: an off-white ground with the raised cords in cream, so the pattern is almost all texture. Close up you can see each cord standing proud of the cloth, and the curving bands show up through light and shadow rather than colour. The Iris piping in Doe is a soft beige, just enough to draw the edge.

On a white or cream sofa this gives you pattern without adding any colour, which is useful in a calm bedroom or a light, neutral sitting room. It sits well with Ripple in Pearl or Taupe, and with Ritz in Fog if you want a plain beside it. Ice Blue and Tobacco are the other two colours.
